Garlic Scape Salt

Scapes are the flower of hard neck varieties of garlic. Harvested after their first "curl" to keep the plants energy focused on bulb production for the fall crop of garlic beneath the soil.

Some know this "waste product" of the garlic to be a sought-after delicacy of late spring. With a delicious onion/garlic flavor, scapes can be used to add that allium punch to everything and anything! Popcorn, veggies, meats/proteins, bread and butter- ANYTHING!

With a short window between harvesting woody, inedible scapes and your grocer's scapes quickly loosing freshness; we harvested and preserved this delicacy at its prime for your year-round savoring... If they stay in stock that long!
